Man Arrested After Soliciting Sex w/ a Teen Online
St. Petersburg Police arrested 40-year-old Robert Staton II, of Seminole, last night for traveling to have sex with a 14-year-old girl. The teenager was actually an undercover detective. He also sent “her” a lewd photo of himself.
Lowell drove to the 4100 block of 16th Street North to meet “the girl” and officers arrested him when he arrived.
He is charged with Seduction of a Child Using Internet or Electronic Device, Transmission of Harmful Material to a Minor, Unlawful Use of Two-Way Communications Device and Traveling to Meet a Minor.
