The defendant gave birth to a child in October 2014.During January 2014, the defendant Marissa Mowry and the victim were at a residence within Hillsborough County. The defendant was 22 years old at the time and the victim was 11 years old. The defendant and victim had sexual intercourse and as a result, the defendant became pregnant.
The defendant and victim continued with the sexual contact multiple times when the victim was between the ages of 11-14 years old. Detectives completed their investigation and secured an arrest warrant. Mowry was arrested this afternoon without incident and transported to the Hillsborough County Jail. Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Child Protective Division is assisting in the investigation.
