ARRESTS MADE IN DEATH INVESTIGATION ON 11TH STREET NORTH

UPDATE:

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two people in connection to this investigation.

Detectives have charged Derek De Andre De More, 24, with Carrying a Concealed Firearm and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Michelle Rodriguez, 22, was charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence.

This incident remains an isolated incident and all involved parties have been located. Detectives continue to investigate this offense and work with the State Attorneys Office.

ORIGINAL RELEASE:

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Saturday night on 11th Street North.

Just before 6 p.m. on June 20, 2020, deputies responded to a residence on the 12000 block of 11th street north for reports of an adult male who had been shot.

Once on scene, deputies located an adult male, who had been dropped off at the home, with a gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased.

Detectives were able to track down a vehicle believed to be involved in the shooting. Two individuals believed to be involved are cooperating with detectives.

”I want to applaud the work of our detectives, ” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. ”They were able to track down all parties believed to be involved in this shooting within just a few hours. Their hard work and dedication have made our community safer tonight.”

This remains an active and open investigation, any updates will come from the Public Affairs Office.
